The Wildcat Jazz Ensemble is Blue Springs top jazz performing ensemble.  Students of the WJE are selected through audition in the late fall.

The Wildcat Jazz Ensemble has been the featured performer for prestigious events.  In 2025, the Wildcat Jazz Ensemble has been invited to perform at the Helix performing venue on the Dublin City University main campus in Glasnevin, Dublin.  This celebration concert included Irish music from St Patrick's Spraoi Chorus and House Band. 

 

In 2024, the Wildcat Jazz Ensemble was honored to perform at the Missouri Music Educator's Association Conference.  The Wildcat Jazz Ensemble has also performed annual concerts in Branson, Missouri with acts like Haygood's Show.

 

A highlight of the Wildcat Jazz Ensemble is the annual spring jazz concerts.  These performances are a full production including video and lighting.
