Financial Assistance
Options & Contacts
It is a goal for the department of bands to ensure that no student's participation is excluded over financial hardships.
This is not always achievable as funds are often limited. But if you need additional assistances there are two organizations that may be able to provide financial support. If you have approached both of these organizations for funding and are still struggling with the ability to participate, please discuss this with a band staff member.
Sometimes assistance can be given from direct friends and family members. We've made this easier by setting up a shareable page for making financial contributions directly to a student's account.

Meyer Music & Fox4 KC Band of Angels Program

Since 2014, the Band of Angels Program through cooperative partnership with Meyer Music and Fox4 have been helping to ensure that more students are able to participate in music.
Through their instrument collection and refurbishment program, they've been able to make usable again over 3,500 band & orchestral instruments from a neglected and unplayable state.
These instruments have been provided to students throughout Missouri and Kansas to allow access for those that may not be able to afford to purchase their own. As some of these instruments are found to be past their repairable state, the Band of Angels has developed programs with local jewelers and artists to utilize components that are then sold or auctioned to raise money for music scholarships.
And through the annual Band of Angels Gala, over $500,000 has been raised to support music scholarships. If you are in need of financial assistance to participate in the Golden Regiment, please take a moment to visit the Band of Angel's website for more information.
Friends of the Golden Regiment Parent Organization - Golden Circle
Through the Friends of the Golden Regiment booster organization, the Golden Circle has been established to raise funds through charitable donations to support the activities of students that need additional assistance to participate in band and color guard activities at Blue Springs High School.
These funds are limited and the booster organization works to ensure they are stretched to reach as many students as are in need. To be considered for support for the Golden Circle, please note that if your student is participating in an "optional" trip, they will not be granted any funding.
It is important that you meet the obligations for the required trips prior to participating in optional trips. To apply for financial assistance, please complete the form on this page.
Information provided is kept confidential.

Booster Organization Senior Scholarships
The Blue Springs Music Boosters and Friends of the Golden Regiment Booster Organizations both provide annual scholarships for seniors that will be pursuing a college or technical school degree in their time after graduation.
These scholarships are limited and students must apply for consideration. For more information, view the Booster Scholarships Page.
