The post high school career path of instrument repair allows students to carry on their passion for music in a more technical role.  

 

Through a cooperative partnership with Meyer Music, students in the Career Innovation Center Instrument Repair program are exposed to this growing career field.  Students will get first hand experience repairing and maintaining instruments.

This career field can be a great for students that have a passion for music but may not feel that teaching roles are what they want to pursue after high school.  The field is growing as the typical workforce in music stores around the country is aging and newer skilled workers are needed.  Students can pursue technical school degrees after high school that can better position them for top instrument repair jobs around the country.
